During the 120-day decision period or during a surplus priority period (if you choose Option A), you may swap positions with a non-affected employee who agrees to leave. If approved, that employee may choose Option B or C(i), but their transition support may be reduced depending on how long you’ve been in surplus status.
By participating in the alternation process of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), I acknowledge and agree that:
I am being granted access to the Alternation site solely for the purposes of alternation within the meaning of the Workforce Adjustment Appendices.
I am being granted access to the Alternation site solely for the purposes of alternation within the meaning of the Employment Transition Policy appendix in the CFIA collective agreement.
I will use the Alternation site only for its intended purpose, as authorized by the PSAC.
I will not share any personal or confidential information obtained through the Alternation site, either directly or indirectly, without the express written consent of PSAC National, other than for the purposes of facilitating alternation.
My personal information including personal email address, postal code, and phone number may be made available to any member accessing the Alternation site.
I will use the Alternation site in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and PSAC Policies.
I will indemnify PSAC and will be solely responsible for any damages, liabilities, or losses resulting from any unauthorized or inappropriate use of the Alternation site.
